Local residents in Whaley Bridge showed their support for Macmillan Cancer when they attended a coffee morning and, later on in the day, a cake sale at Gascoigne Halman’s local office.

Many of the estate agent’s current and former clients popped along to support Lorraine Batty, Gascoigne Halman’s manager, and her team. As well as enjoying a morning cuppa in good company, many brought along homemade cakes for the afternoon cake sale.

Gascoigne Halman had also arranged a raffle and this helped to boost the amount raised to an impressive £326.

Speaking about the event, Lorraine said, “Thanks to everyone who came along to support our two fundraising events. It was lovely to have support from clients but also local business contacts, family and friends.

“It is rewarding to be able to help such a great cause and I know that Macmillan are grateful to receive donations – no matter how large or small.”
