Gascoigne Halman has selected East Cheshire, St Ann’s and St Rocco’s Hospices as their adopted charities of the year for 2014.
Eager employees have already started getting their teeth into fundraising activities by raising money for St Ann’s Hospice, thanks to an exceptionally brave team member, Chris Dodd from our Didsbury office, who recently swam with great white sharks in South Africa!
Those employees who’re more comfortable on Terra Firma will be taking part in the Wilmslow Half Marathon in March and a five a side football match with St Ann’s Hospice is planned for May.
Over the summer staff will also be taking part in an ‘It’s a Knockout’ style challenge, a ‘Bakeathon’ and a family sponsored walk, which will see the child who raises the most sponsorship win a prize of a family ticket to Chester Zoo.
Commenting on the year of fundraising, John Halman, Managing Director of Gascoigne Halman, said, “We’re delighted to be supporting these local hospices, they do such great work and truly deserve a helping hand. We hope to be able to raise a great amount for them all this year.”
Gascoigne Halman has supported a number of charities over the years including Children in Need, The Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust, The David Lewis Centre and The Christie. Over the recent years, the estate agency has raised in excess of £50,000 for local charitable causes.
